Abreviações da Internet

Atualmente as conversas virtuais são caracterizadas por abreviações. Essas abreviações são normalmente usadas em e-mails, chats, fóruns de discussão, mensagens instantâneas (MSN), e mensagem de texto entre usuários de celulares.
Os papos e encontros virtuais não se limitam a um país ou região, nesse contexto, é importante conhecer as novas formas de interação social e lingüística não somente na língua portuguesa, mas também em inglês.
Além da comunicação ser rápida e instantânea, os usuários normalmente conversam com mais de uma pessoa ao mesmo tempo, portanto, as abreviações derivam da necessidade de rapidez e praticidade que este contexto lingüístico exige.
Na opinião do lingüista Marcos Bagno, os sinais gráficos ou radicais abreviaturas comuns nos textos se inserem em um cenário perfeitamente compreensível. As abreviações tentam ganhar tempo na comunicação digital, uma aproximação do tempo da fala real.
Como língua mais falada no mundo, a língua inglesa não deixa de fazer parte das adaptações lingüísticas do meio virtual.

Os usuários de recursos de comunicação instantânea como o MSN são majoritariamente muito jovens (ou até mesmo crianças) e abreviam suas conversas para agilizar o papo com os amigos em todas as línguas, principalmente em inglês, o idioma dominante na internet.
